When ReWire is an important part of your workflow, make sure that both the ReWire host and slave (Renoise and some other application) are both either 32-bit or 64-bit. If you use a lot of plugins, your OS is a 64-bit one, and most of your plugins are available as 64-bit plugins, then you might also want to go for the 64-bit version of Renoise. The 64-bit version can use more than 4 GB of memory and will perform a little better.

Renoise System Requirements To run Renoise, you’ll need an Intel Mac with Mac OS X (10.4 for 32 bit, 10.6 for 64 bit), a Windows PC running Windows 7, 8, Vista or XP (32 or 64 bit). there's a renoise-2.7.2 file which i can not even run from terminal (tried./renoise-2.7.2. KX studio - manual installed renoise full+sunvox noGo.
